Great - This is the tool I use to create all of my comics, and digitize almost all of my art.

Great - If all open source software were this well designed, nobody would be using anything else.

Great - Full-featured vector editor, fully svg-compliant, free (as in beer), free (as in speech), multi-platform (windows, linux, others). What's *not* great about it?

Great - Have started to use vector graphics more frequently for its superior quality, flexibility and reusabilty. Setting up two extra plugins (TexText for latex formulas and JessyInk for svg presentations) made it possible to use vector graphics not only on web design, logos, icons and etc. but in producing stunning quality presentations and posters effortlessly.

Great - Does everything I need, in an intuitive way!
~ anonymous on Jul 21, 2009

Just OK - Workable alternative if you don't have access to Illustrator.
~ Kyle Adams on Jul 21, 2009

Great - I use it for making Rack diagrams, Network diagrams, logos, headers, etc. "Great" is an understatement.
~ anonymous on Jul 15, 2009

Great - I made some very nice svg's with it that I sent to a t-shirt print company, and it worked out perfectly!

Great - Inkscape is at the same time easy and accessible for beginners to use AND powerful for accomplished vector artists to create great work.
~ anonymous on Jul 4, 2009

Great - I tried Inkscape about two years ago and found it buggy and awful, but I recently gave it another try and to my surprise it is now quite stable and the path editing system is far better and easier to use than Illustrator! Great job people.

Great - Though it has its flaws, it triumphs over star-office (how?) and Office 2007. Still weird placement and renaming of features makes moving from a commercial office program to this difficult, and some features are overly broken, but you get what you pay for.
~ Life2Death on Jun 30, 2009

Great - Although stability leaves something to be desired and is rather unpolished in parts, it's a full-featured graphic illustration/design package for the rest of us.

Great - Excellent user interface and many features. (But slightly unstable at times.)
~ anonymous on Jun 10, 2009

Great - Superior to illustrator or other vector drawing software : great web slicing support with the layers, great support for transparency, and so on...
~ anonymous on May 26, 2009

Great - It has all the feature like commercial soft. And upgrades are free.

Great - Just fantastic, i'm used it for design my web page after make the html
~ gootvo on May 14, 2009

Great - just very intuitive
~ anonymous on May 13, 2009

Great - Inkscape is so sanely designed - it's rare to encounter a new interface and find learning it so very enjoyable.

For years I have found it fast and, for the most part, very intuitive to work with.

Congrats Inkscape team.

Great - Excellent tool for vector illustration.

Great - The only GTK based application worth using. Just wish it was better integrated with Qt/KDE.
~ anonymous on Apr 26, 2009

Great - Simple clean structure producing standards-compliant files.

Good for drawings that need to be accessible for years.
~ Will Godfrey on Apr 25, 2009

Great - I use this program all of the time and I find it very intuitive!
~ anonymous on Apr 24, 2009

Great - Based on my experience I find Inkscape the best open source programme. It is very userfriendly, and good tutorials to get started with. (Much smoother than for example GIMP!)
~ anonymous on Apr 19, 2009

Great - While it has it's quirks, mostly it just works and doesn't stand in my way to create graphs for web, posters, small welcome cards, etc. It has nice, intuitive interface and it performs well under load.
~ anonymous on Apr 17, 2009

Great - It does everything I need to do to generate figures for scientific papers, and it IS FREE.
~ anonymous on Apr 16, 2009

Just OK - Windows version is horribly unstable and crashes regularly.
~ anonymous on Apr 16, 2009

Great - The best designed graphics program I have ever worked with, the UI makes it a breeze.
~ anonymous on Apr 13, 2009

Just OK - Can't get it to work reliably on Mac OS X
~ Cameron Bracken on Apr 1, 2009

Great - Stability is a tad questionable, but when it works, it does some pretty neat things. Might need a machine that's a little more modern if you're going to work on larger things, though.
~ Xial on Apr 1, 2009

Great - A little unstable at times, but a fantastic tool with enough depth to keep a person busy for a long time.
~ HillHobbit on Mar 31, 2009

Great - great tool to draw up furniture layouts on scale
~ anonymous on Mar 31, 2009

Great - I use it all the time for poster/artwork design and it’s wonderful. Still some rough edges in the UI, but well worth learning—and it’s free and standards-based, of course.
~ anonymous on Mar 28, 2009

Just OK - lots of little quirky issues, for example the scroll bar will only work at higher zoom level. even when you dismiss some dialogs, they sort of stay open until you scroll away and then back. just dissapointing, since I really wanted to use this vector editor.
