Kantaris Media Player aims to be an all-in-one audio and video player. Its GUI and features are similar to those of Windows Media Player. Video playback is based upon Videolan Client (VLC), which enables Kantaris to play almost anything without the need to install any codecs separately. It features an attractive skin, some nice audio visualizations, and integration with Last.fm and Apple Movie Trailers.
MediaInfo supplies extended technical and tag information about video and audio files. It also provides a DLL file that can be copied into eMule's install directory to show more information about media files in the Show Details dialog. It even checks whether the file extension correctly matches that of the file's header.
